“ASANOHA” The Japanese geometric patterns
Asanoha (麻の葉) means hemp leaf. It evokes this resistant plant which grows fast and straight. Thus it symbolizes good and healthy growth, vigor, resistance or resilience, and by extension prosperity. It was logically mainly used on garments for babies and toddlers.
Hexagons, which are made up of triangles that were originally meant to ward off negativity , is also a symbol of universal coherence.
